Join us at the first Congress of Nature-Based Education
28 October 2026 in Kielce — “How to build everyday education closer to nature”. Talks, experience sharing and workshops for people working with children and young people.
Contact with nature matters for every child — whatever school or kindergarten they attend. That is why, as the Federation of Forest Education Organisations, we want to share our experience and support people looking for ways to bring more nature into everyday education.
On 28 October 2026 we will meet in Kielce for the first Congress of Nature-Based Education (Kongres Edukacji Blisko Natury), under the theme “How to build everyday education closer to nature”. We especially invite people working with children and young people in schools and kindergartens — both those who already teach outdoors and those who are only wondering where to start.
Together we will look at how to create space for contact with nature in different settings: in the forest, in a park, in a garden or in the school yard. We will talk about why nature matters for children, the opportunities opened up by the new core curriculum and how to translate them into everyday work. We will also address questions of safety, responsibility and the legal framework of outdoor education.
The programme will include talks, experience sharing and workshops. We want participants to return to their schools with concrete ideas, tools and more confidence in taking the next steps. We want to show possibilities that can be adapted to the needs of the children, the team and the place where we work.
We believe that the growth of nature-based education also starts with small, everyday steps. Sometimes the first one is simply walking out the door with the children.
